About

b. 1986, HK.

Caroline Zavakos is a Creative Director and writer based in New York. She currently leads copy at Our Place, a mission-driven cookware brand rooted in representation. She is a multi-disciplined creative leader whose work spans traditional and new media including experience-based campaigns, art direction, brand narrative, and editorial. Her near ten years of experience and in-house background give her invaluable experience building brand identities with depth, recognizability, and strong points of view. Most recently, her dedication to narrative-forward creative resulted in the publication of Our Place’s first cookbook, of which she was a co-author.

She has worked in-house with brands like Warby Parker, Aesop Skin Care, Co—Star, Malla, Alabaster Homes, Pith, among others. Prior to being a full-time creative, she helped make books at Farrar, Straus & Giroux and New Directions Publishing.

When she’s not working, you’ll find her writing books sometimes, more often reading them, doting on her dog, caring for plants, cooking for too many people, dancing, protesting, embroidering, and napping.

Caroline is currently open to contract work.
