Aesop Gough Street | Pre-opening
Of ink and industry
Prior to construction of Aesop Gough Street in Hong Kong, we installed a month-long activation to honour the street’s industrious history and raise awareness of our new presence.
‘Of ink and industry’ is a celebration of Sheung Wan’s printing press heritage, through the performance of two local letterpress printers. To capture the personality and history of Gough Street, the poem ‘Chance’ by Xu Zhimo will be printed in both its original language and in English to illuminate the beauty of translation, of the merging of cultures.
